D.I.KHAN/BHAKKAR: A suicide bomber targeted the inter-provincial Dajal Security Check Post on Tuesday, killing two security personnel and injuring four others, officials said. The attack occurred during routine inspections.
The deceased were identified as Police Constable Faheem (No. 324) and drone operator Shehbaz Langri (No. 65). The injured included Police Constable Muhammad Arshad (No. 312) and three polio workers—Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Zubair, and Muhammad Hasnain. All were taken to District Headquarters Hospital Bhakkar, where an emergency was declared.
Authorities imposed a high alert across the district, sealed all entry and exit points, and deployed rescue teams. District Police Officer Bhakkar said investigations are ongoing and urged the public and media to avoid spreading unverified information, calling for full cooperation with law enforcement during the emergency.
