TANDO ALLAHYAR: An important meeting of the District Coordination Committee (DCC) was held on Thursday to review the effective implementation of decisions taken by the central and provincial apex committees, district officials said.
The meeting, convened on the directions of deputy commissioner Noor Mustafa Leghari, took place at the conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office and was chaired by additional deputy commissioner-I Prem Chand Meghwar.
Senior officials in attendance included additional deputy commissioner-II Warda Nayab, assistant commissioners Babar Rahpoto (Tando Allahyar) and Shahzadu Umair Jarwar (Jhandomari), chief municipal officer Abid Wali Khosa, district information officer Ali Murad Pitafi, and representatives from the health department, police, labour department, Nadra, social welfare, agriculture extension, Sui Gas, HESCO, PPHI and other line departments.
Participants reviewed a range of issues linked to the implementation of apex committee decisions and discussed a strategy for future action. District officers gave detailed briefings on the performance of their respective departments.
Addressing the meeting, Meghwar said the primary objective was to strengthen coordination among all departments to enable effective action against illegal activities, child labour and drug peddling in the district. He also directed officers to further improve their performance to ensure the swift resolution of public complaints and everyday civic problems.
