MANSEHRA: Three brothers were killed and a child was injured after armed men allegedly opened fire at a house in the Karkala area of Mansehra following a dispute over a marriage proposal, police said.
According to police, the attackers entered the house and opened fire, killing the three brothers. A child was also injured in the shooting and was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment. Police said a case had been registered against nine suspects, including two women, in connection with the incident. Investigators have launched a search operation to arrest those named in the case.
The motive for the attack has been linked to an ongoing dispute over a marriage proposal, although police said further investigation was under way to establish the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The incident has caused grief and anger in the area, while police teams are continuing efforts to locate the suspects.
