KARACHI: Police in the East Zone arrested two suspects involved in motorcycle theft during an operation launched by Jamshed Quarters police station with the help of CCTV footage, officials said on Wednesday.
The arrested suspects were identified as Muhammad Noman, son of Iqbal Khan, and Imran, son of Aslam.
Police recovered a stolen motorcycle bearing registration number KGD-2463 from their possession. The vehicle had been stolen from the PIB Colony area, officials said.
A case regarding the theft had already been registered at PIB Colony police station under FIR No 145/26 under Section 381A.
Police said the suspects had previously been involved in motorcycle theft and gutka and mawa selling cases and had also served jail time.
The suspects were formally arrested under legal procedures and handed over to AVLC officials for further investigation.
