BANNU: Two personnel of the Frontier Corps were martyred after unidentified armed militants opened fire in the Karam Garhi Adda area of Bannu, officials confirmed on Sunday.
According to details, the incident took place near a shop owned by a local resident, Alam Khan, where unknown assailants targeted FC Havaldar Roh Niaz and Sepoy Rehman, killing them on the spot.
The attackers fled the scene after the firing incident.
Security forces and police reached the area shortly after being informed and cordoned off the site.
A search operation was launched to trace and arrest those responsible, while law enforcement agencies began collecting evidence from the crime scene as part of a wider investigation. Further developments were awaited as the probe continued.
