SUKKUR: A tragic incident in Ayoub Belijo village on Friday claimed the lives of two brothers in what relatives described as a sudden and shocking act of violence.

According to family members, elder brother Ladho Belijo allegedly shot his younger brother, Naseer, before taking his own life shortly afterwards. The incident occurred while both brothers were returning from their agricultural fields near the village. Relatives said that without warning, Ladho opened fire on Naseer, killing him instantly.

Reports indicate that Ladho then moved a short distance away and reportedly shot himself. Family members rushed to the scene, finding Naseer already dead and Ladho critically injured. Both were transported to Civil Hospital Makli, where Ladho later succumbed to his injuries.

The motive behind the act remains unclear, and authorities are continuing their investigation. District Police Superintendent Waheed Lark told the media that police had cordoned off the area, collecting evidence before proceeding to register a case in accordance with established procedures.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the Ayoub Belijo community, highlighting the devastating consequences of domestic disputes and raising concerns about family safety and conflict resolution in rural areas. Authorities urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with investigators as they work to establish the facts surrounding the tragedy.

The local administration confirmed that further inquiries are underway, and officials expressed condolences to the bereaved family while emphasizing the importance of addressing underlying disputes before they escalate into violence.
