KARACHI: The Special Investigation Unit of the CIA Karachi said a crackdown against the drug mafia had continued on the instructions of SSP SIU, Dr Samiullah Soomro.
During an operation in Malir City, officials arrested two major suppliers of hashish.
A significant quantity of hashish was recovered from their possession, with the total weight recorded at 4,470 grams.
The suspects were identified as Abdul Nasir and Jahanzeb.
Police said efforts were under way to obtain the previous criminal record of the arrested men.
A case had been registered against them at the SIU police station, and further legal action and investigation were in progress.
The statement was issued by the spokesperson for SSP SIU/CIA Karachi, Dr Samiullah Soomro.
