NORTH CAROLINA: A man in the US state of North Carolina has won a $1 million lottery jackpot after buying a ticket featuring his lucky number, seven.
According to international media reports, Thomas Munoz, a resident of the town of Biscoe, bought a $10 “Triple Red 777 Jackpot” scratch-off ticket from a local shop because he had always considered seven his lucky number. Munoz said his connection with the number seven was personal because he was born on the seventh day of 1977.
He scratched the ticket shortly after purchasing it and was stunned to discover that he had won the $1 million jackpot. Munoz described the moment as one of immense excitement and happiness, saying he was thrilled when he realised his lucky number had finally brought him a life-changing prize.
