SUKKUR: A capacity-building workshop on the Sindh Transparency and Right to Information Act 2016 was held in Sukkur to promote good governance, public accountability and civic participation.

The workshop was organized by Transparency International Pakistan in collaboration with Sindh Rural Support Organization.
It brought together civil society representatives, development practitioners, community members and government officials to strengthen understanding of the Right to Information law and its role in empowering citizens.
Participants were given practical guidance on the process of filing RTI requests, grievance redress mechanisms and the importance of proactive disclosure of public information.
Discussions at the workshop stressed that access to information was essential for improving public service delivery, strengthening institutional accountability and promoting participatory governance.
Organizers said the initiative aimed to equip communities with the knowledge and tools needed to exercise their right to information, and to help bridge information gaps while promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
