KARACHI: Karachi West District Police have obtained a detailed criminal record of a suspect arrested in an encounter at Surjani Police Station’s Bhains Colony Checkpost while injured, authorities said.

The development was confirmed by the SSP West. The arrested man has been identified as Mohammad Nasir, son of Imam Bakhsh Yousuf. He was riding a motorcycle reported stolen from the Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan area, bearing registration number KVH-2402.

The case falls under FIR No. 817/2025 at Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan Police Station for theft under Section 381/A of the Pakistan Penal Code. Police described Nasir as a habitual criminal with a long record of arrests and jail terms. His previous cases include narcotics violations, armed robbery, and firearm offenses across multiple jurisdictions.

The offences include narcotics charges under FIR 208/2020 at Gulshan-e-Mimar Police Station and FIR 134/2021 at Joharabad Police Station. Theft and robbery cases include FIR 1491/2021 at Sachal Police Station and FIR 1089/2024 at Korangi Industrial Area Police Station.

Firearms violations feature under FIR 1099/2024 at Korangi and multiple cases in Bilal Colony Police Station between 2022 and 2024. A spokesperson for SSP West said the arrest underscores the police’s ongoing efforts to apprehend repeat offenders and maintain law and order in the district.
