The inspector general directed all wings of Sindh police to work towards the digitalisation of public services and internal departmental processes. He said maximum public-facing and departmental matters should be shifted online so citizens could access police services from their homes.
He said efforts were needed to promote a positive image of policing and to move away from the traditional “thana culture”. He instructed officers to submit proposals aimed at further improving the capacity and performance of their departments.
The police chief said the Sindh government was providing full resources and cooperation to the police force and stressed that a zero-tolerance policy should be adopted against crime and criminal elements.
