DADU: Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput, said on Monday that global judicial systems are increasingly moving from paper-based proceedings to e-justice frameworks, and that serious steps are being taken to integrate modern technology into Sindh’s courts.
Addressing the Dadu Bar Association, Justice Rajput stressed that adopting digital tools is vital to enhance efficiency, transparency, and access to justice. He acknowledged the challenges posed by harsh weather conditions in districts like Dadu but reaffirmed the judiciary’s commitment to delivering timely and effective justice.
Expressing gratitude to the lawyers of the Sehwan, Dadu, and Johi bar associations for their warm reception, the chief justice thanked them for their respect and hospitality.
Justice Rajput announced that the Dadu Bar Association would be provided with an e-library, two air conditioners, a water dispenser, and a six-kilowatt solar system. Similar facilities are planned for the bar associations of Khairpur Nathan Shah, Johi, and Mehar to support lawyers and improve their working environment.
He also revealed plans to arrange professional training in drafting skills, inviting five lawyers from each district and tehsil bar association to Karachi for specialised training aimed at enhancing their legal competence.
Addressing young lawyers, the chief justice said ample opportunities exist for growth but stressed that hard work, dedication, honesty, and integrity are essential for building a successful legal career.
Earlier in the day, Justice Rajput visited the Sehwan Bar Association, met with local lawyers, and inaugurated a judicial complex in Johi before proceeding to Larkana.
