DERA ISMAIL KHAN: On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Abdul Nasir Khan, an operation to identify and facilitate the voluntary removal of encroachments was launched under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Syed Muhammad Arsalan.

The drive targeted areas including Basti Dewala near Haidari Mosque and Baisakhi Ground, Basti Munshi Shehp Shah, and Basti Istrana South. Officials marked encroachments established on government land and road rights of way, including a portion of a residential boundary wall in Basti Dewala that falls within Section-4 of the under-construction flyover project.

Voluntary demolition of the wall has been initiated in line with the project requirements. Authorities have directed all individuals to remove their encroachments promptly. Failure to comply will result in legal action under applicable laws. The anti-encroachment drive will continue regularly to ensure public convenience, safety, and maintenance of order in the city.
