DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Hussaini Foundation and the World Federation organised a dignified collective wedding ceremony for 25 poor and orphan couples in Paharpur, providing the newlyweds with dowry items and valuable gifts.
The event was attended by prominent figures including Allama Muhammad Ramzan Tauqeer, Central Vice President of the Shia Ulema Council Pakistan and former adviser to the Chief Minister, as chief guest. Other participants included Syed Asif Abbas Shah, chairman of the Hussaini Foundation, District President Shia Ulema Council Maulana Karamat Ali Haidari, Syed Jameel Hussain Shah, former Chief Minister’s focal person Syed Kamran Shah, Tanveer Abbas Mehdi, Sardar Shafqat Khan Baloch, along with religious scholars and political and social figures of Dera Ismail Khan.
Speaking to the media, Allama Tauqeer congratulated the newly married couples, describing the collective wedding initiative as a blessed and commendable step that brings happiness and relief to poor and deserving families. The ceremony concluded with a wedding feast (Walima) for the guests.
