SHIKARPUR: Shikarpur police shot dead two most-wanted criminals involved in the killing of SHO Khameso Brohi during a targeted operation in the Katcha area of Mirzapur, Shikarpur, while 13 others were injured, SSP Shahzeb Chachar reported.

The deceased were identified as Mithal Junejo and Ghafoor Junejo, from whom police recovered two weapons and ammunition. Both had been involved in the murder of SHO Brohi and multiple other criminal cases. Looted money and valuables from bus passengers were also recovered from the slain dacoits.

Heavy armoured vehicles and drones were deployed in the operation, which has also led to the demolition of several criminal hideouts. SSP Chachar confirmed that the operation would continue until all robbers were either eliminated or surrendered.

In related developments, 11 highly wanted criminals surrendered to police in Ghotki and Jacobabad. Among them, three dacoits—Saindad son of Murad Ali Shar, Dahar son of Jumo Shar, and Ali Nawaz son of Jumo Shar—turned themselves in at the SSP office in Ghotki. Eight others wanted in serious crimes including murder, kidnapping, highway robbery, and attacks on police surrendered in Jacobabad. The surrendering suspects cited police pressure as the reason for giving up crime and expressed hope that the courts would grant them justice
