KARACHI: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) Sindh launched its Patient Aid Welfare initiative at an Iftar dinner held at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre on 1 March 2026.
The ceremony, organized in the Najmuddin Auditorium parking area, brought together doctors, nurses, paramedics, social and political figures, members of the legal fraternity, and representatives from the media.
Executive Director Professor Khalid Sher and Joint Executive Director Muhammad Salman formally inaugurated the project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
During the event, Dr Salman praised the YDA leadership for coordinating an initiative that not only fosters unity within the medical community but also underscores the importance of patient welfare and public service.
Chairman of YDA Sindh, Mehboob Noonari, expressed gratitude to guests and attendees, highlighting the organisation’s dual commitment to addressing young doctors’ professional concerns while supporting patient-focused welfare programmes. The Iftar dinner also drew senior officials from JPMC, the Sindh Secretariat, and the Health Department.
Among the notable attendees were Assistant Directors Dr Saddam Saleh and Farooq Ahmed, Head of Department Abdul Razzaq Dogar, nurses’ representatives Ijaz Ali Kaleri and Muhammad Ashiq Chauhan, and paramedical staff Hassan Pathan, Salman Memon, and Asadullah Sameto.
