KARACHI: More than 75 students from schools across Karachi took part in the 39th Inter-School Annual Husn-e-Naat competition, organised jointly by Justice Helpline International and Crescent Youth Organisation. The event was held at a local hotel and featured participants from classes three to nine.
Justice of the Peace Nadeem Sheikh Advocate, head of Justice Helpline International, said the competition had been organised continuously for the past 38 years during the holy month of Ramadan without interruption.

Among the attendees were Sindh Home Secretary Iqbal Memon, federal government spokesperson for Sindh Raja Ansari, Chairman Executive Committee of the Pakistan Bar Council Muneer A Malik, Chief Information Commissioner of Pakistan Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, General Secretary of the High Court Bar Fareeda Mangrio, and former High Court Bar president Sarfraz Metlo Advocate.
At the conclusion of the competition, chief guest Iqbal Memon, along with Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, Dr Shehab Imam, Muneer Ahmad Malik and Raja Ansari, distributed cash prizes, gifts and certificates among the position holders.
The panel of judges included renowned naat reciters Khurram Habib and Athar Ali, alongside Aram Fatima, Khawaja Mubeen, Fareeda Aslam and Maryam Zeeshan.
In the primary section, Syeda Humeira secured first position, Hafsa Shakeel came second and Dua Fatima third, while Maaz Ali received a special award. In the secondary section, Syed Ikhtiar Ali secured first position, Syeda Misbah came second and Anumta third, while Maaz Ahmed received a special prize. Cash awards were presented by Dr Shehab Imam.
