DUBAI: Dubai Airports said 1,140 flights were operated over the past 84 hours despite recent air travel disruptions, providing thousands of passengers with opportunities to continue their journeys as authorities gradually restore normal schedules.
In an update issued at 13:21 UAE time, officials said the flights helped affected travellers reach multiple international destinations. More than 105,000 outbound seats were made available during the period, enabling a large number of passengers to depart for their home countries.
According to the statement, passengers travelling to India, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and several other European and Asian destinations were facilitated through these additional flights.
Dubai Airports said the recovery of flight operations is being carried out in phases following the recent disruptions to air traffic.
Authorities added that close coordination between Dubai International Airport and airline operators helped arrange additional flights and seats in order to support stranded passengers and reduce travel backlogs.
Ground handling teams and other operational agencies also contributed to efforts aimed at restoring normal airport services.
Passengers have been advised to check the latest flight status with their respective airlines before travelling to the airport and obtain updated information to avoid potential delays or schedule changes.
