DADU: On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Syed Murtaza Ali Shah, Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Wajahat Ghafoor visited District Jail Dadu alongside members of the District Human Rights Committee to assess conditions and facilities provided to inmates.
Jail Superintendent Javed Ayub Magheri, DHO Dr. Abdul Hameed Khonharo, and other officials accompanied the team during the inspection. Committee members examined accommodation, cleanliness, medical services, food arrangements, and legal assistance, while also meeting prisoners to hear their concerns and complaints.
The ADC directed the jail administration to ensure prisoners’ basic human rights, health services, and essential facilities at all times, and to report any issues promptly to relevant authorities. The Human Rights Committee will submit a detailed report to the Deputy Commissioner for further measures to improve jail conditions.
