MEHAR: Seven days had passed since the mysterious disappearance of a young girl, Ujala Parveen Solangi, with no clue found about her whereabouts, leaving her family in deep distress and anxiety.
The SSP Dadu, retired Captain Saddam Hussain Khaskheli, visited Ayaz Colony in Mehar after seven days, where he inspected the crime scene. He later went to Mehar police station and met the girl’s father, Shamsuddin Solangi, along with her mother and grandmother.
Speaking to journalists, the SSP said the incident was tragic and confirmed that a search operation had been launched from the very first day. He said all available resources were being used, including modern technology. He added that a joint investigation team had been restructured, including DSP Mehar Gul Hassan, SHOs of A and B Sections Mehar, SHO Dadu, CIA in-charge Dadu, lady police officer Yasmeen Soomro, and others. The investigation was continuing and the family was being fully supported, and he expressed hope the case would be resolved soon.
Responding to a question about not meeting the girl’s mother at her home, the SSP said he had visited the crime scene and met the father there and had requested to meet the mother as well, but the family chose to come to the police station. He said the parents should not feel disappointed as police were making full efforts for the child’s safe recovery.
Meanwhile, the girl’s father, Shamsuddin Solangi, said they went to the police station to meet the SSP and were made to wait outside for half an hour. He said he, along with the child’s mother and grandmother, pleaded with folded hands and in tears for the recovery of their daughter. He expressed disappointment with the response they received but said he still hoped the SSP would cooperate and ensure her safe return.
