Organizers and speakers reaffirmed solidarity with the military, as participants echoed themes of unity, resilience and shared national responsibility

SUKUR/DADU/MEHAR: District administrations across Sukkur, Dadu and Mehar held coordinated rallies on Saturday to mark the anniversary of ‘Marka-e-Haq’ and Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, with officials and members of the public gathering in organized processions that reflected a strong display of national sentiment and institutional alignment.
In Sukkur, the main rally began at the Municipal Stadium and proceeded towards the Sukkur Press Club. Speakers Tanveer Ahmed and Dr Arshad Ali Mughal addressed participants at the concluding point, emphasizing unity between state institutions and citizens. They framed the anniversary as a moment of reflection on national resilience and institutional coordination in times of crisis.
In Dadu, Deputy Commissioner Syed Murtaza Ali Shah and Senior Superintendent of Police Sadaam Hussain Khaskheli addressed a large gathering, describing the country as standing “like a wall of steel” alongside its armed forces. They also highlighted what they called the sacrifices of martyrs as a continuing source of national cohesion and pride.
In Mehar, Assistant Commissioner Ghulam Fatima Ghallu led a procession from Government High School No 1 to the National Press Club. Speaking at the conclusion of the rally, she noted the armed forces’ role not only in defence operations but also in disaster response, portraying them as a stabilizing presence during emergencies.
The rallies concluded with prayers for national security and, in some locations, the distribution of sweets among participants. Organizers and speakers reiterated pledges of continued solidarity with the military, while participants broadly echoed themes of unity, resilience and collective responsibility.
