TANDO ALLAHYAR: The deputy commissioner of Tando Allahyar, Noor Mustafa Leghari, directed officials of all relevant departments to ensure cleanliness at Eid prayer sites and proper disposal of sacrificial animal waste during Eid-ul-Adha.
He instructed officers to play their full role in maintaining cleanliness, drainage, law and order, as well as promoting religious tolerance and brotherhood in the district following Eid prayer gatherings. The directions were issued while presiding over a meeting held at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner Office to review arrangements for Eid-ul-Adha.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner One Asif Ali Khaskheli, Additional Deputy Commissioner Two Warda Nayab, Assistant Commissioner Tando Allahyar Babar Saleh Rahpota, Assistant Commissioner Chambar Hammad Ali Zardari, town and union council chairmen, and district officers from the police, health, local government, livestock and revenue departments, along with religious scholars from different schools of thought.
On the occasion, the deputy commissioner said there would be a complete ban during Eid-ul-Adha on setting up camps for illegal collection of animal hides, as well as on the use of loudspeakers and banners on buildings or vehicles.
He directed local government officials to ensure cleanliness, timely disposal of waste and effective arrangements for spraying after the sacrifice, while also improving the drainage system and covering open manholes to provide a safe and peaceful environment for the public.
He also instructed officials of HESCO and Sui Gas to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity and gas during all three days of Eid.
The deputy commissioner said the district administration was making every effort to provide the best possible services to the public in terms of cleanliness and basic facilities during Eid-ul-Adha.
A spokesperson for the SSP Tando Allahyar told the meeting that comprehensive security arrangements were being finalised and strict security would be provided at Eid prayer gatherings across the district.
