TANDO ALLAHYAR: Police intensified operations against drug dealers and other criminal elements across Tando Allahyar district under a zero-tolerance policy, while citizens urged authorities to monitor “black sheep” within the force to ensure the campaign reached its logical conclusion.
The crackdown was carried out on the directives of Hyderabad Range Deputy Inspector General of Police Tariq Razak Khan Dharejo under the supervision of SSP Tando Allahyar Syed Saleem Shah.
Police said operations against drug trafficking, prostitution and other crimes were continuing without discrimination across the district. During raids conducted in different areas, police arrested 10 suspects and registered eight cases.
According to police figures, officers recovered 2,520 grams of hashish, 605 litres of locally brewed liquor, 345 bottles of alcohol, 160 packets of gutka and crystal methamphetamine from the arrested suspects.

SHO Mashaikh Hoti arrested Faraz son of Lal Muhammad alias Dilshir and recovered 50 packets of gutka from his possession. A case was registered against the suspect.
SSP Syed Saleem Shah said all available resources were being used to bring those involved in drug trafficking and other crimes within the reach of the law.
Citizens praised the ongoing crackdown but said stricter action should have been taken earlier, arguing that many people in the district had fallen victim to drug addiction due to the unchecked spread of narcotics.
They also urged the SSP to keep a close watch on corrupt elements within the police force so the anti-drug operation could achieve lasting results.
