KARACHI: A new NADRA Mega Centre has been inaugurated in Surjani Town, offering residents of Manghopir Town and surrounding areas easier access to identity registration services without the need to travel long distances.
Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi inaugurated the facility at a ceremony attended by Pakistan Peoples Party Senator Masroor Ahsan, Manghopir Town Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi, Vice Chairman Rana Muhammad Arif, Union Committee 07 Chairman Umeed Ali Qazi, Vice Chairman Hafiz Syed Imran Ali, and other political, social and community representatives.
During the event, Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi presented the governor and Senator Masroor Ahsan with the traditional Ajrak, a cultural symbol of Sindh.
Speaking to the media, Brohi described the establishment of the mega centre as a major milestone for the people of Manghopir Town and District West, saying it fulfilled a long-standing public demand.
He said the facility would spare residents the inconvenience of travelling across the city to obtain identity documents and reflected the local administration’s commitment to bringing essential public services closer to communities.
Brohi added that the centre would provide a full range of NADRA services, including the issuance and renewal of national identity cards, correction of personal records, B-Forms, Family Registration Certificates (FRCs), NICOP, POC, smart identity cards and other official documentation through a faster and more transparent process.
He said a dedicated help desk had also been established to assist visitors and ensure smooth service delivery.
According to the town administration, the centre is equipped with modern technology designed to speed up the processing of identity-related services. Participants at the inauguration welcomed the project, describing it as a significant improvement in public service delivery for residents of District West.
