KARACHI: Chief Secretary Sindh, Asif Hyder Shah, is currently engaged in the transition of administrative officers to improve governance in the Sindh province. One notable recent appointment is that of Rehan Iqbal Baloch, an experienced officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (formerly known as PCS) with a rank of BPS-20, who has been posted as Secretary Health.

Rehan Iqbal Baloch brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in administrative matters. His appointment as Secretary Health signifies a strategic move by the Sindh government to strengthen the healthcare sector, especially amid ongoing challenges such as poliovirus transmission. The decision to appoint Rehan Iqbal Baloch as Secretary Health reflects Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah’s commitment to placing capable officers in key positions to drive positive change and development in Sindh.

This move is expected to contribute to the overall improvement of healthcare services in the province, addressing issues related to infrastructure, resource management, and public health initiatives. Moreover, such administrative transitions under Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah’s leadership demonstrate the government’s dedication to ensuring transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness in governance across various sectors.

By appointing individuals with relevant expertise and a track record of performance, the Sindh government aims to enhance the delivery of essential services and promote socio-economic development in the region.
