KARACHI: The Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Karachi hosted a grand reception to mark the National Day of Qatar, celebrating the legacy of the country’s founder, Sheikh Jassim Bin Muhammad Bin Thani.
The event, held at a five-star hotel in the city, brought together senior officials, diplomats, and business leaders in a ceremony underscoring the deep and enduring ties between Qatar and Pakistan. The occasion was marked by a ceremonial cake-cutting attended by His Excellency Nayef Shahein R.M Al-Sulaiti, Consul General of Qatar in Karachi, alongside the Governor of Sindh, Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori, and Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

The reception drew a high-profile audience, including senior provincial ministers, notable politicians such as Madam Faryal Talpur, armed forces officers, representatives from Gulf and other foreign missions, and prominent industrialists, all of whom offered personal felicitations to the Consul General.
The gathering provided an opportunity for Pakistan and Qatar to reaffirm the strength of their bilateral relationship, highlighting not only shared cultural and historical bonds but also growing strategic and economic cooperation.

In his address, Consul General Al-Sulaiti expressed his optimism for a strong and prosperous Pakistan and reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to its partnership with Islamabad. He highlighted the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed in 2025, which he said had laid the foundation for a new era of joint development and strategic collaboration.
The CG further emphasized Qatar’s achievements under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, noting the country’s remarkable progress in human, economic, social, and environmental development, which he described as a model for sustainable growth.
