KARACHI: Thousands of members of Karachi’s Christian community took part in a Christmas Peace Rally over the weekend, marching through the city in a show of unity and commitment to peace.
The rally, held on 21 December and organized by Ambassadors Peace International, Pastor Suleman Manzoor and Rapha Mission, began in Essa Nagri and concluded at the Mazar-e-Quaid. Participants described the procession as a powerful and peaceful display, with Christians from across the city joining what organizers called a “sea of voices” calling for harmony in Pakistan.
Dr Naseem Qaiser, president of the Helpline Christian Community Pakistan (HLCC), joined the rally alongside the organization’s vice-president, Saima Khan, and representatives from religious, political and social circles. Their presence, organizers said, reflected solidarity and a shared message of brotherhood.

The organizers thanked print and social media outlets for what they described as extensive coverage that helped amplify the rally’s message. They also expressed gratitude to a wide range of community leaders, pastors and volunteers for their role in mobilizing participants and ensuring the event’s success.
As the march ended at the mausoleum of Pakistan’s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, participants voiced hope that the rally’s message of love, peace and unity would extend beyond Karachi and contribute to stronger interfaith harmony across the country.
