KARACHI: Travel records of alleged drug trafficker Anmol alias Pinky and her former husband Rana Akram have surfaced, revealing multiple visits to Azerbaijan’s capital Baku and raising fresh questions in an ongoing investigation.
According to airport sources, Anmol alias Pinky travelled abroad only once, departing from Karachi to Baku on December 25, 2018. She returned to Pakistan on April 1, 2019, after staying abroad for nearly three months.
Officials said her ex-husband Rana Akram visited Baku twice. He first travelled on October 12, 2025 and returned on October 19, 2025. His second visit took place on December 27, 2025, and he came back to Lahore on January 6, 2026.
Police sources claimed that Rana Akram had earlier been involved in the arrest of Anmol alias Pinky and her associate Kiran, but both were later released under unclear circumstances.
Investigative sources further alleged that Rana Akram may have received two vehicles and Rs50 million in exchange for the release of the women, though officials have not independently verified these claims.
Authorities said investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of the network and financial links behind the case.
