LAKKI MARWAT: A joint delegation of army, civil and police officials visited remote and border areas of Bhittani subdivision in Lakki Marwat to review security arrangements and public issues.
The local brigade commander of the Pakistan Army, Brigadier Haider Ali, along with the deputy commissioner, district police officer and other officials, visited Shadi Khel, Madi Khel, Gaz Goba and Masti Khel. The delegation received a warm welcome from local elders, tribal leaders and residents.
During the visit, officials reviewed the overall law and order situation, ongoing operational measures and public safety arrangements. Security check posts of the police and Badargha Force were inspected, and instructions were issued to strengthen coordination and improve effectiveness.
The delegation also visited government schools, hospitals, the tehsil office and other public facilities to assess service delivery and basic amenities. Meetings were held with local citizens, youth and tribal elders, who presented their concerns and suggestions.
Open courts were organised in Masti Khel and Shadi Khel, where a large number of residents participated. Locals raised issues including water shortage, lack of health and education facilities, and the poor condition of the Tajori–Shadi Khel road. Officials assured that all issues would be addressed on a priority basis and directed relevant departments to take immediate action, with some steps initiated on the spot.
Later, a football tournament involving 16 teams from different areas was inaugurated in Masti Khel by the deputy commissioner, district police officer and brigade commander. Officials met players and appreciated youth participation in positive activities. The deputy commissioner also announced a cash prize for the winning team.
Officials said sports played an important role in engaging youth in constructive activities, promoting a healthy society and fostering social harmony. They reaffirmed commitment to ensuring peace, rule of law and the protection of life and property, while promising timely resolution of public issues.
Local residents, tribal elders and youth appreciated the initiative taken by the district administration, police and Pakistan Army.
