ISLAMABAD: Cambridge Assessment International Education confirmed that A and O Level examinations scheduled for April 24 in Islamabad and Rawalpindi went ahead as planned, despite the prevailing situation in the twin cities.
Officials said no revisions had been made to the examination timetable, urging students to adhere strictly to the original schedule and arrive at their centres on time. The announcement came amid concerns among parents and candidates over possible disruptions.
Cambridge said it had remained in close contact with British Council, which administers the exams locally, to ensure that all arrangements were in place for the smooth and secure conduct of papers.
Authorities indicated that contingency planning had been reviewed but deemed unnecessary at this stage, as conditions were considered manageable. Examination centres were instructed to proceed under standard protocols, with additional vigilance where required.
Students were advised to stay updated through official communication channels and avoid relying on unverified information circulating on social media. Cambridge reiterated its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process while prioritising the safety and wellbeing of candidates and staff.
