TANDO ALLAHYAR: An important meeting of the District Coordination Committee (DCC) reviewed the implementation of decisions taken by the central and provincial apex committees during a session held in Tando Allahyar on 18 June 2026.
The meeting was convened on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Noor Mustafa Leghari and held in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office. It was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Asif Ali Khaskheli.
Officials said the session focused on reviewing law and order, counter-terrorism measures, anti-narcotics efforts and broader administrative performance across government departments. The implementation of directives issued by central and provincial authorities was also assessed in detail.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner-II Warda Nayab, Assistant Commissioners Babar Saleh Rahpota, Shahzad Umar Jarwar and Hammad Ahmed Zardari, along with Deputy Director Information Khalid Hussain Kamboh. Senior representatives from a wide range of departments including police, FIA, Special Branch, health, education, highways, agriculture, social welfare, local government, excise and narcotics control, NADRA, labour, women development, child protection, PPHI, traffic police, customs, FBR and intelligence agencies were also present.
During the meeting, departmental heads presented progress reports and briefed participants on ongoing work, achievements and operational challenges. Officials reviewed public service delivery, development initiatives and sector-specific performance, particularly in education and health.
The meeting also examined issues related to drug prevention, electricity theft, illegal activities, traffic management and social welfare programmes. Special attention was given to improving coordination among departments to ensure more effective enforcement of government policies.
Addressing the meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Asif Ali Khaskheli said effective implementation of apex committee decisions remained a top priority of the government. He stressed that all relevant institutions must perform their responsibilities efficiently and in a coordinated manner.
He said stronger inter-agency coordination was essential to resolving public issues, maintaining peace and order and ensuring transparency in government operations. He also emphasised the need for consistent monitoring of ongoing activities to ensure that targets were achieved within the required timeframe.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner urged departments to focus on public interest projects and adopt a joint strategy to address administrative and social challenges. He said timely and effective implementation of all decisions, in line with directives from the Sindh government, would be ensured at all costs.
Officials said the meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to improving governance, strengthening institutional coordination and accelerating progress on key public welfare initiatives across the district.
