KARACHI: The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Karachi has informed Pakistan’s business community and relevant stakeholders about the upcoming West Java Investment Summit (WJIS) 2026, an annual initiative by the Government of West Java Province aimed at strengthening international investment ties and economic cooperation.
The summit is designed as a platform for engagement between government institutions, investors and industry representatives, with a focus on identifying opportunities across key sectors including infrastructure, manufacturing, agriculture and emerging industries. Organizers say it is intended to provide a structured setting for discussing potential joint ventures and long-term economic partnerships.
As part of the run-up to WJIS 2026, a virtual pre-business meeting is scheduled for mid-May 2026. The session will be organized in collaboration with Indonesian authorities and related institutions, and is expected to introduce a range of priority investment projects while enabling early interaction between prospective investors and project stakeholders.
Drs Mudzakir, M.A., Consul General of Indonesia in Karachi, said the West Java Investment Summit offered a practical platform for constructive engagement between stakeholders from both countries. He said it provided an opportunity for the business communities of Indonesia and Pakistan to explore areas of mutual economic interest in a forward-looking manner.
The consulate reiterated its commitment to promoting stronger economic cooperation between Indonesia and Pakistan, and to facilitating sustained engagement between their respective private sectors. Officials said such initiatives were aimed at deepening trade links and encouraging investment flows in line with broader regional economic priorities.
