KARACHI: Dr. Danish Aman, director of the Sahil Welfare Association (SWA), expressed his delight at hosting a group of students from Karachi Grammar School (KGS) for an interactive and insightful session at the organization’s office. The visit provided the students with a unique opportunity to engage directly with the SWA team and gain a deeper understanding of the organization’s ongoing humanitarian and community development initiatives along Pakistan’s coastal belt.
During the session, the students learned about a range of SWA projects aimed at supporting vulnerable communities, from disaster relief and health campaigns to education and livelihood programm. The interactive format allowed the students to ask questions, discuss challenges, and explore ways in which young people can contribute meaningfully to social development. Dr. Aman emphasized the importance of nurturing compassion, empathy, and civic responsibility among the younger generation, highlighting how collective action can transform communities and improve lives.
“The engagement with KGS students was both inspiring and rewarding,” Dr. Aman said. “It is crucial that young people understand the power of community work and the role they can play in making a positive difference. Their curiosity, energy, and commitment give us hope for the future.”
The session also included discussions on sustainable development, environmental conservation, and the impact of education and health initiatives on coastal communities. Students were encouraged to consider how their skills and resources could be leveraged to support meaningful change in society, and they were invited to participate in ongoing projects in practical ways.
