ISLAMABAD: Marking the first anniversary of what the military describes as “Marka-e-Haq”, Pakistan’s army chief and chief of defence forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, has congratulated both the armed forces and the country’s citizens.
According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (Inter-Services Public Relations), senior leaders of the Pakistan Navy (Pakistan Navy) and Pakistan Air Force (Pakistan Air Force) also extended their congratulations on the occasion.
The military’s media wing said the day was being observed with a sense of national unity, describing it as evidence of “professional skill, courage and cohesion” across the armed forces. In its statement, the ISPR said the armed forces “remain alongside the people of Pakistan” and continue to uphold what it called an “enduring bond of service and pride”.
It added that “Marka-e-Haq” had become a significant milestone in the country’s recent history, reflecting what it described as national resolve, military capability and strategic maturity.
The statement further claimed the outcome had strengthened public confidence and projected Pakistan as a “responsible and stable regional power”, highlighting what it called its effective defence capabilities. It also said Pakistan’s response during the period had exposed “enemy conspiracies” and countered what it described as false narratives and propaganda linked to staged incidents.
The ISPR said the armed forces demonstrated “high operational readiness” across land, air, sea, cyber and information domains, despite what it termed hybrid and proxy threats. Following the episode, it added, Pakistan had further strengthened its defence posture and reinforced what it called a “full-spectrum deterrence” capability.
