MEHAR: Six-year-old Ujala Parveen Solangi, a resident of Ayaz Colony Mehar, remained missing even after 15 days, leaving her family in deep distress and uncertainty.

The child’s father, mother, uncle and other relatives staged a protest inside their home while holding the Holy Quran, expressing lack of confidence in Dadu police and demanding the immediate recovery of the girl.
Speaking to journalists at the National Press Club Mehar, the girl’s father Shamsuddin Solangi, mother, uncle Sardar Solangi, and relatives Rehmatullah Solangi and Ghulam Haider Tunio said the child had gone missing while returning home from school. They said 15 days had passed but no clue had been found, questioning whether the earth had swallowed her or the sky had taken her away.
They said the Inspector General of Sindh had taken notice of the incident and SSP Dadu had formed an eight-member committee, but despite this, neither the government nor police had been able to trace the child. They alleged that instead of assisting in the search, the committee had repeatedly questioned family members, relatives, friends and others, and carried out multiple house searches without success.
The family said that even in the age of modern technology, police had failed to locate the child, while the Sindh government had not taken serious action. They questioned why the chief minister of Sindh, the home minister, the IG Sindh, the DIG Hyderabad and elected representatives were not paying attention to the case.
They said they had no enmity with anyone and believed their daughter had been abducted. They urged police to stop what they called “photo sessions” and demanded that the SSP Dadu personally lead the recovery operation, adding that they had no trust in the committee formed.
The parents also appealed to intellectuals, political and social leaders, citizens, traders, teachers and the people of Sindh to help recover their daughter. They warned that if the child was not recovered soon, they would take to the streets and launch a province-wide protest movement.
Meanwhile, teachers of PTALF Taluka Mehar continued their protest for a second consecutive day over the recovery of Ujala Parveen Solangi. Led by Abdul Samad Bughio, Irshad Mahesar, Zulfiqar Qambrani, Shahid Lashari, Saeed Panhwar and Abdul Basit Solangi, they staged a demonstration outside the National Press Club Mehar and raised slogans demanding the child’s recovery.
They said that despite 15 days passing, the innocent daughter of a primary school teacher had not been recovered, causing severe distress to the family. They criticised Dadu police for not making progress and demanded that the Sindh government, IG Sindh, DIG Hyderabad and SSP Dadu ensure her immediate recovery to end the family’s suffering.
