WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has said that any future agreement with Iran would be a “good deal,” insisting that he does not make bad deals and that the outcome would depend entirely on his leadership.
In an interview with US broadcaster ABC News, Trump said that any potential agreement with Iran would be fair and strong, adding that it would be completely different from previous nuclear deals signed under former President Barack Obama.
He claimed that earlier agreements had given Iran financial benefits and created conditions that could have led to nuclear weapons development, while saying his approach would be the opposite.
Trump further stated that no one has yet seen the details of any new agreement and that discussions are still ongoing. He urged critics not to judge the process without full information.
The US president also referenced earlier remarks about Iran and the possibility of a deal, including a social media post featuring AI-generated imagery related to conflict scenes and the word “Adios,” which means “goodbye” in Spanish.
He said critics should focus on results rather than speculation, adding that previous administrations should have resolved the issue earlier.
