KARACHI: Water supply has been restored in Karachi after repair work on affected lines at the Dhabeji pumping station was completed following a breakdown. Authorities said the situation has improved in several areas after the restoration.
A spokesperson for the Water Corporation said that three major خطوط supplying water to Karachi have been fully repaired, and supply has resumed in the affected مناطق. Areas including Korangi, Malir, Chanesar, Saddar, Clifton and DHA are now receiving water again.
The spokesperson added that the city is currently facing a shortfall of around 40 million gallons of water. The disruption occurred on April 27 due to a power breakdown that impacted three خطوط supplying water to the city.
Officials said efforts are ongoing to stabilise supply and minimise shortages across Karachi.
